Step 3: Attempt to Resolve the Issue
- For Consignors: Discuss issues with the freight forwarder, such as delays or incorrect services, and negotiate solutions like partial refunds or expedited handling.
- For Consignees: Contact the customs broker to address delivery issues or missing documentation.
- For Freight Forwarders: Respond to consignor concerns about quotes or services, offering clarifications or adjustments to resolve disputes.
- For Customs Brokers: Address issues related to customs clearance, such as delays or documentation errors, with the consignee.
- Allow reasonable time for the other party to respond (e.g., 24–48 hours) and engage in good-faith negotiations.
